Job Overview

XPECT Solutions, Inc. is looking for a System Administrator on an effort supporting our Federal Government Client in Huntsville, AL.The ideal candidate will provide systems support for the Wireless Network Team, including managing Windows Servers in a VMWare environment and supporting end users. The ideal candidate will provide support for our large federal government agency’s highly complex network infrastructure environment to include multiple enclaves comprising various classification levels.  

In support of our Innovations team the System Administrator will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Managing Windows Server Guests hosted in VMWare.
  • Providing Tier 1 & Tier 2 Support (initial triage of wireless connectivity)
  • Guest account provisioning
  • Generate and print receipts
  • Distribute account information to users during onboarding
  • Determines escalations necessity

Requirements
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience managing Windows Servers, to include application configuration, patching, and configuration.
  • Working knowledge of Operating System (OS) configuration, security compliance (STIGs), troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and updating system documentation.
  • Understanding of basic networking principles, and support.
  • Experience working with and troubleshooting industry-used software applications such as Windows 7, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Active Directory

Preferred Additional Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience supporting or working in Wi‑Fi environments.
  • Knowledge of INFOBLOX, Cisco ISE, and/or Cisco DNA Center
  • A.S. degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related area
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with attention to detail.
  • Experience working on federal systems.
  • Ticketing System Experience
