Job Overview:
 
XPECT Solutions is looking for a Badging Technician to join our team in supporting our Federal Government Client, The National Institute of Health, in Bethesda, MD. This position will be responsible for supporting the Physical Security and Access to the NIH facilities, by confirming Identity of incoming personnel, patients, and guest. Confirming and assigning the appropriate physical access badges for the facility.
 
** Compensation for this position is $20/hr plus benefits**
 
Core Responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for checking identity and proofing process with valid government photo IDs
  • Fingerprints clients for government background check
  • Issue two types of government ID’s: Health and Human Services PIV government ID badge (smart chip badge) and Legacy badge (standard NIH badge)
  • Take photographs for Legacy badges (ex. Extended visitors, Tenants, Guest, Patients, Patient Visitors, Retirees, Volunteers, Service Providers, Construction Workers, etc.)
  • Work with customized databases: Continuum, Card Issuance Station (CIS), NIH Enterprise Director (NED), Enrollment Work Station (EWS), Physical Access Control System Information System (PACSIS), and Background Investigation Tracking System (BITS)
  • Greet and assist clients, answers phone calls, and emails clients regarding Issuance process
  • Responsible for scheduling appointments for clients in BITS and destroying deactivated badges
  • Responsible for resetting ID PINs
  • Responsible for updating expired certificates on smart chip badges
  • Responsible for activating physical access on NIH campus
  • Responsible with communicating to The Department of Personnel Security and Access Control (DPSAC), NIH NED Team, and HHS Deloitte team on issues regarding status of clients badge
  • Works with the NIH Police department regarding patient badging/extended visitors
 

Requirements: 

  • Candidates must be able to work scheduled shifts (Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30am/8:00am-5:00pm)
  • Candidates must be able to complete a background check 
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required
  • Proficient in MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
