Job Overview
XPECT Solutions is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Business Development to join our team, in Fairfax, VA. In this pivotal role, you will assist in leading our efforts to identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within the federal contracting sector. Your strategic vision and deep understanding of government procurement processes will be essential in driving our growth and expanding our market presence. As a key member of our executive team, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership to develop and implement business strategies that align with our company's goals and objectives. Core Responsibilities
- Build and manage sales pipeline effectively to meet and exceed committed contract, revenue growth targets.
- Develop a team responsible for leading the negotiations of complex, multi-million, multi-year contracts with C-Suite level executives, and build an organization capable of selling these enterprise solutions.
- Develop plans and strategies for developing business, long term customer relationships and retaining customers.
- Responsible for implementing a talent plan with each direct report that focuses on individual development planning as well as building capability across the selling organization.
- Develops processes for monitoring and measuring sales objectives within area. Interfaces with cross functional teams to ensure effective linkage to influencing sales activities.
- Monitor customer, market and competitor activity, providing feedback and strategic recommendations to company leadership team and other company functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.
- 10 years leadership experience and demonstrated consistent sales success within the federal government IT space.
- Exhibited proven success at the sales leadership level, with at least 10 years of sales experience and progressive levels of responsibilities and accountabilities in leadership roles.
- Excellent people leadership skills; has strong track record in attracting, retaining and developing talent.
